Family First Medical Centre and Family First Skin Cancer Clinic has been operating since 2012. We have 5 full time General Practitioners 2 of whom have additional qualifications in Skin Cancer Medicine plus we have a cosmetic doctor providing anti wrinkle injections and lip fillers. Our team also includes a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

 

Additionally our 3 Registered Nurses and a team of 7 admin staff are all dedicated at putting the needs of our patients first. Our purpose built facilities including large fully equipped theatre enable our Doctors and Nurses to provide the most advanced care in the most comfortable of surroundings. Our medical centre is conveniently located across the road from the Hervey Bay hospital and we have more than 65 car spaces available for ease of parking.

Dr Wayne Norval DR WAYNE NORVAL  MBChB B.Sc DipACSCM FRACGP

Dr Wayne Norval has been practicing medicine for more than 27 years. Wayne is a Vocationally Registered GP and has his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He also has his Diploma with the Australian College of Skin Cancer Medicine and has a reputation as one of the best skin cancer doctors on the Fraser Coast. Dr Norval has many years specialised experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as Psychiatry. Dr Norval accepts new Skin Cancer Patients and bulk bills all services. Dr Norval believes in developing a caring and supportive relationship with his patients. Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Family Planning, Antenatal Care, Paediatrics, Preventative Health and Skin Cancer Medicine are all areas of medical interest. Dr Phil Thorp Dr PHIL THORP  MBBS BA

Dr Phil Thorp originally from Chicago USA has been in Australia for 18 years. Dr Thorp is a Vocationally Registered GP. After graduating from the Australian National University in Canberra Dr Thorp settled on the Fraser Coast and has called it ‘home’ ever since. Dr Thorp enjoys paddle boarding, gardening and cooking and his special interests in medicine are Skin Cancer Medicine and Preventative Health. Dr Thorp bulk bills all patients and is currently accepting new Skin Check patients.

 Dr Saritu Gurung DR SARITA GURUNG MBBS

Dr Sarita Gurung is from Nepal. She completed her MBBS from Russia. Back home, she obtained her Masters Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology . In Australia Dr Gurung has completed her Masters in Public Health. Dr Gurungs special interests are womens health and preventative health. In her spare time, Dr Sarita loves to listen music and watching movies.

 Dr Nathan Dickenson DR NATHAN DICKENSON  MBBS FRACGP
Nathan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013. He practiced at The Prince Charles hospital for 2 years, and then in General Practice for 3 years at Childers Family Medicine. He completed his RACGP fellowship in 2018. He is passionate about all areas of general practice, but has received additional experience in the areas of cardiology, respiratory, paediatrics and skin medicine.
 
Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and hobbies include computer technology, outdoor walking, rock climbing, and travel.
Dr Dewan Feroze DR DEWAN FEROZE  MBBS MSPH DCH
Dr. Dewan Feroze holds a Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, (MBBS). He Graduated in 2007 from Pakistan. Dr Dewan gained vast of his clinical experience in Australia while working in the General Practice and at the Hospital.
 
Dr Dewan special interests lie in the areas of children’s health, Aboriginal health, preventative health and family medicine. Dr Dewan’s passions are soccer, cricket and tennis.
